Acceptable Use Policy

This Policy applies to every person who accesses or uses the Platform in any capacity, including:

• trainers, facilitators, educators, event organizers, and corporate professionals who register an Account to create and host live or scheduled Sessions (“Hosts” or “Users”);
• Customers who purchase one or more Licenses to the Pro, Pro Plus, or Enterprise versions of the Platform;
• Participants and Audience members who join a Session using a room code, QR code, or join link at qgplayground.com/join, whether or not they hold a registered Account;
• any individual who visits qgplayground.com or any associated subdomain, API, or related service; and
• any organization or entity whose employees, members, or representatives use the Platform.

By using the Platform in any of the above capacities, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Policy at all times. This Policy should be read together with the Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

The Platform is designed for lawful, professional, educational, and organizational purposes. The following are examples of permitted uses:

• creating and hosting live interactive Sessions (quizzes, polls, word clouds, ranking exercises, rating scales, true/false questions, and leaderboards) for professional training, education, corporate events, conferences, workshops, webinars, onboarding, town halls, pub quizzes, and icebreakers;
• using AI Features to generate quiz questions and answer options for review and use in Sessions hosted on the Platform;
• collecting real-time audience feedback, assessing knowledge, and gathering ideas through polls and word clouds;
• using Skills Insights analytics (available on applicable plans) to identify learning gaps and individual performance across a team;
• scheduling quizzes to run in a defined window without live hosting (available on Pro and above);
• collecting player data such as names and email addresses with Participants’ consent (available on Pro Plus and Enterprise);
• applying custom branding (colours, fonts, logo) to presenter views (available on Pro Plus and Enterprise);
• accessing the Platform via authorized third-party integrations in accordance with the Terms and Conditions; and
• using the Platform’s APIs and developer features in accordance with any applicable API usage terms.

All use of the Platform must comply with: (i) this Policy; (ii) the Terms and Conditions; (iii) the Privacy Policy; and (iv) all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

The following categories of conduct are strictly prohibited on the Platform. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Quiz Granny reserves the right to determine, in its reasonable discretion, whether any particular conduct falls within the spirit of these prohibitions.

3.1 Illegal and harmful content

You must not create, upload, transmit, display, or otherwise make available through the Platform any content that:

• violates any applicable law or regulation of India or any other jurisdiction in which you or your Participants are located;
• is defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, or abusive toward any individual or group;
• constitutes, incites, or encourages discrimination on the basis of race, caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, age, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law;
• promotes, glorifies, or incites violence, terrorism, extremism, or self-harm;
• constitutes or facilitates child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes minors;
• constitutes, facilitates, or encourages any criminal offence or unlawful act; or
• promotes illegal gambling, unauthorized financial products, or unlicensed controlled substances.

3.2 Intellectual property infringement

You must not use the Platform to:

• reproduce, distribute, or publicly display copyrighted material (including text, images, music, video, or software) without authorization from the rights holder or a lawful exemption;
• use any third-party trade mark, service mark, or logo in a manner likely to cause confusion or deceive;
• misappropriate any trade secret or confidential information belonging to a third party; or
• submit content that infringes a patent, design right, database right, or any other Intellectual Property Right of any person.

3.3 Privacy and data protection violations

You must not use the Platform to:

• collect, process, or store personal data of Participants or third parties without a lawful basis and, where required, explicit informed consent under the DPDPA 2023, GDPR, or other applicable Data Protection Laws;
• create Sessions that solicit sensitive personal data — including health information, financial account details, government-issued identification numbers (such as Aadhaar or PAN), biometric data, religious beliefs, or political opinions — from Participants without explicit informed consent and a clear lawful purpose;
• disclose or distribute the personal data of any individual without their consent;
• engage in surveillance, tracking, or profiling of individuals without lawful authorisation and adequate disclosure; or
• use personal data obtained through the Platform for purposes other than those disclosed to the individuals concerned at the time of collection.

3.4 Security and technical abuse

You must not:

• access, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform or any connected system without Quiz Granny’s prior written authorisation;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, another User’s Account, or any system or network connected to the Platform;
• introduce, upload, or transmit any virus, malware, ransomware, spyware, trojan, worm, or other malicious code to or through the Platform;
• conduct or facilitate any denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack against the Platform or any third party;
• circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, authentication, rate-limiting, or access-control mechanism of the Platform;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Platform, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
• use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or scrapers to access or interact with the Platform without Quiz Granny’s prior written consent; or
• artificially inflate player counts, manipulate scoring, or interfere with leaderboard integrity.

3.5 Spam, deception, and manipulation

You must not use the Platform to:

• send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) or bulk messages to Participants or third parties without their prior consent;
• impersonate Quiz Granny, any Quiz Granny employee, another User, or any third party, whether through your display name, Account name, Session branding, or otherwise;
• create or distribute misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent Sessions, questions, or communications;
• conduct phishing, credential harvesting, or social engineering attacks through or in connection with a Session; or
• manipulate Session response data, scores, or leaderboard rankings in a manner intended to deceive Participants or third parties.

3.6 Platform integrity

You must not:

• resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise make the Platform available to any third party except as expressly permitted under the Terms and Conditions;
• use the Platform to build a competing product or service, or to benchmark the Platform against a competing product for commercial gain, without Quiz Granny’s prior written consent;
• remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notice, trade mark, watermark, or other proprietary notice on or within the Platform;
• impose an unreasonable or disproportionate load on Quiz Granny’s infrastructure; or
• access the Platform’s APIs in a manner that exceeds applicable usage limits or violates applicable API terms.

3.7 Minors

You must not:

• collect personal data from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent;
• create Sessions that are designed to be accessed by minors and that contain adult content, violent material, or any other content inappropriate for the relevant age group; or
• direct marketing or promotional content to individuals under the age of 18 without appropriate parental consent.

QG Playground’s AI Features use large language models and other machine learning technologies to generate quiz questions, answer options, and other content (“Output”) from your input prompts. The following rules apply when using AI Features.

4.1 Review all Output before use

AI-generated Output may contain errors, inaccuracies, outdated information, biased content, or material that is inappropriate for your intended Audience. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all Output before publishing it in a Session or sharing it with Participants. Quiz Granny makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any Output.

4.2 Prohibited prompts and inputs

When using AI Features, you must not submit prompts or inputs that:

• request Output that would itself be prohibited under Section 3 of this Policy;
• are designed to “jailbreak”, circumvent, or override the safety controls, content filters, or guidelines of the underlying AI model;
• contain personal data of identifiable individuals without a lawful basis for processing;
• are designed to extract confidential system prompts or proprietary information from the Platform; or
• are intended to generate content for use outside the Platform in a manner that infringes any third-party right.

4.3 No high-stakes or life-critical use

AI Features are not designed for, and must not be used to generate content for, high-stakes or life-critical purposes, including medical diagnosis, legal advice, financial guidance, safety-critical assessments, or any context where an error in the Output could result in significant harm to individuals.

4.4 No AI model training

Quiz Granny does not use your Content Data, prompts, or Output to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, whether operated by Quiz Granny or any third party. Your content will not be used for AI model development.

4.5 Transparency with Participants

Where you use AI-generated content in a Session, you should consider whether your Participants would reasonably expect to be informed that the content was generated by artificial intelligence. Quiz Granny encourages Hosts to be transparent with their Audiences about the use of AI Features.

All content created, uploaded, or distributed through the Platform — including Session questions, answer options, word cloud prompts, images, media files, and display names — must meet the following standards:

Users who create and host Sessions bear the following specific responsibilities in addition to the general obligations in this Policy:

• You are responsible for all content included in your Sessions, regardless of whether it was created by you, uploaded from an external source, or generated using AI Features.
• Where you use the player data collection feature (Pro Plus and Enterprise plans), you are responsible for informing Participants at the time of collection about what data is being collected, why, and how it will be used, and for obtaining any required consents under applicable Data Protection Laws.
• You are responsible for setting appropriate access controls for your Sessions. Where your content may not be suitable for all audiences, use the invite-only whitelist feature (available on Pro and above) to restrict access.
• You must not use Session results or leaderboard data in a manner that is discriminatory, humiliating, or harmful to individual Participants, including sharing or publishing individual scores without the Participant’s consent.
• Where you share Session results with third parties (for example, as evidence of a training assessment or academic result), you must ensure that the results accurately reflect Participant responses and are not misrepresented.
• You are responsible for any live event conduct occurring during your Sessions. If a Participant’s display name or responses are offensive, you should end that Participant’s session or take appropriate action.

7.1 The Platform may allow you to incorporate content from third-party sources — such as images, videos, or embedded media — into your Sessions. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, licences, or permissions to use such third-party content on the Platform and to make it available to your Participants.

7.2 Where you enable a third-party integration with the Platform, you are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms and conditions and acceptable use policies of the relevant third-party provider. Quiz Granny is not responsible for the conduct or content of any third-party integration and assumes no liability arising from your use of such integrations.

Quiz Granny encourages all Users and Participants to report content or conduct that may violate this Policy. If you become aware of a potential violation, please contact us as follows:

Quiz Granny will acknowledge all reports within five (5) business days and will investigate each report in good faith. Where appropriate, Quiz Granny will take remedial action in accordance with Section 9 of this Policy.

Quiz Granny also welcomes responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities. If you discover a potential security vulnerability in the Platform, please report it to quizgranny@gmail.com with the subject line “Security Disclosure” and give Quiz Granny a reasonable period to investigate and remediate before making any public disclosure.

9.1 Quiz Granny reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this Policy and to take such action as it considers appropriate in the circumstances, including without limitation:

9.2 In determining the appropriate enforcement action, Quiz Granny will have regard to: the nature and severity of the violation; whether it was intentional or reckless; the actual or potential impact on Participants, other Users, or third parties; the User’s history of compliance with these Terms; and any steps the User has taken to remedy the situation.

9.3 Where content is removed or access is suspended or terminated, Quiz Granny will notify the affected User by email to their registered Account address where reasonably practicable, unless doing so would compromise an ongoing investigation or is otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

9.4 Users who believe that enforcement action has been taken against them in error may submit a written appeal to quizgranny@gmail.com within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving notice of the action. Quiz Granny will review all appeals in good faith and will respond within a reasonable time. The submission of an appeal does not automatically suspend the enforcement action pending its outcome.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws and regulations in every jurisdiction in which you operate and in which your Participants are located. The following table identifies key legal frameworks that may be relevant to your use of the Platform:

Quiz Granny does not provide legal advice. You should seek independent legal advice to determine your specific compliance obligations before using the Platform for any regulated purpose.

Quiz Granny may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, evolving Platform features, or industry best practice. The current version will always be available at qgplayground.com/legal/acceptable-use. Where a change is material, Quiz Granny will notify you by email to your registered Account address or by posting a notice on the Platform at least fourteen (14) days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Platform after the revised Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy. If you do not accept the updated Policy, you must stop using the Platform and may cancel your subscription in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
