Terms & Conditions

1.1 Welcome to QG Playground. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the QG Playground platform at qgplayground.com and qgplayground.com/join (the “Platform”), operated by Quiz Granny Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (“Quiz Granny”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office at Bhopal, India.

1.2 QG Playground is a live and scheduled interactive quiz and audience engagement platform, currently in public beta, designed for trainers, facilitators, educators, event organizers, and corporate professionals. The Platform is a business and professional tool, not a consumer social product.

1.3 The Platform is currently offered in four versions: Free, Pro, Pro Plus, and Enterprise, described in detail in Section 3 and at qgplayground.com/pricing. Features and plans are subject to change.

1.4 Capitalized terms used in these Terms bear the following meanings:

2.1 The Platform may be used by individuals and organizations for lawful professional, educational, and organizational purposes. By registering an Account or using the Platform, you confirm that:

• you are at least 16 years of age, or, if younger, that you have the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf;
• you have the full right, power, and authority to enter into these Terms and, if acting on behalf of an organization, to bind that organization;
• your use of the Platform does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or contractual obligation; and
• all information you provide to us is accurate and complete.

2.2 Participants (Audience members) who join a Session without a registered Account are also subject to these Terms. No app download or account registration is required to join a Session; Participants join via qgplayground.com/join using a room code, QR code, or link provided by the Host.

2.3 Quiz Granny reserves the right to:

• investigate and take appropriate action against any User who violates or is suspected of violating these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, including removing content or suspending or terminating access;
• report illegal activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities; and
• disclose User Data where required by applicable law, court order, or directive from a competent regulatory authority.

3.1 The Platform is currently offered in four versions. The key features and limits of each version are summarised below. Full details are available at qgplayground.com/pricing, which may be updated from time to time.

3.2 All prices for Paid Versions are exclusive of GST (currently 18%) for Indian customers and exclusive of any applicable taxes for international customers, unless stated otherwise at checkout.

3.3 AI Features are available on applicable Paid Versions. AI-generated Output may contain errors and must be reviewed and verified by the User before use in any Session. Quiz Granny makes no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of Output.

3.4 The Platform is in public beta. Features, plans, and limits are subject to change. Quiz Granny will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes that adversely affect existing paid subscriptions.

4.1 Free Users are granted a License to the Free Version upon registration of an Account. Customers of Paid Versions are granted the applicable License from the Initiation Day for the duration of the License Period.

4.2 Accounts are individual and personal. A single Account may only be used by one person. You may not permit any other individual to use your Account or License credentials.

4.3 Licenses for Paid Versions are subscription-based and billed either monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase. Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the full twelve-month License Period.

4.4 Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, unless cancelled in accordance with Section 5. By subscribing, you authorize Quiz Granny (and its payment processor, Razorpay) to charge your nominated payment method on the Initiation Day and at the start of each renewal period.

4.5 Annual subscriptions may also be purchased at a discount of approximately 20% compared to the equivalent monthly rate. Discounted annual pricing is as displayed at qgplayground.com/pricing at the time of purchase.

5.1 Pricing and taxes

Current prices for all versions are published at qgplayground.com/pricing. Prices for Indian customers are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of GST at 18%. International customers are billed in the currency shown at checkout (e.g., USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, DKK). You are responsible for all taxes and duties applicable to your purchase under the laws of your jurisdiction, unless stated otherwise at checkout. Your bank or card issuer may apply foreign exchange or cross-border fees, which are outside Quiz Granny’s control.

5.2 Payment

Payment for Paid Versions is charged through Razorpay, Quiz Granny’s primary payment processor. Accepted payment methods include UPI AutoPay, e-mandate, and card. Indian customers are billed in INR inclusive of GST. For UPI AutoPay and e-mandate subscriptions, you authorize a recurring payment mandate for the applicable amount. Your subscription will renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Quiz Granny will send a payment receipt for each successful charge. Quiz Granny reserves the right to change prices at any time; price changes will not apply retroactively and will not affect the current billing period. You will be notified at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.

5.3 Upgrades and downgrades

Upgrades between plans take effect immediately. On card subscriptions, the price difference is prorated against your current plan’s remaining balance. On UPI or e-mandate subscriptions, you will be required to authorize a new mandate for the higher plan amount. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal date; you retain access to your current plan until then. Plan changes do not generate cash refunds.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by navigating to Account → Subscription within the Platform, or by emailing quizgranny@gmail.com. Cancellation stops all future automatic renewals and ends the payment mandate. Following cancellation, your paid plan remains active until the end of the period already paid for; after that date, your Account automatically reverts to the Free Version with Free Version limits. Quiz Granny does not delete your Account or quiz data upon cancellation — your quizzes remain accessible within Free Version limits.

5.5 Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, and Quiz Granny does not provide prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period once it has started. Quiz Granny will refund:

• duplicate or accidental charges;
• charges caused by a verified technical or billing error on Quiz Granny’s part; and
• a renewal charge that was processed after you had already cancelled your subscription.

As a goodwill measure, Quiz Granny may, at its sole discretion, consider a refund request made within 7 days of a first-time subscription purchase where the Platform has been substantially unused. To request a refund, email quizgranny@gmail.com from your registered account email, stating your registered email address, the approximate date and amount of the charge, and the reason for your request. Quiz Granny aims to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method, typically within 5–7 business days.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact Quiz Granny before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Raising a chargeback without first contacting Quiz Granny may result in suspension of your Account pending resolution. Full details are set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

5.6 Failed payments

If an automatic renewal payment fails (for example, due to an expired mandate or insufficient funds), Quiz Granny will maintain your access until the end of the period already paid for and may retry the charge. If payment is not completed, your Account will revert to the Free Version.

6.1 By using the Platform, you agree to comply at all times with:

• these Terms;
• the Acceptable Use Policy;
• the Privacy Policy; and
• all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

6.2 You are solely responsible for:

• all User Data and other content you submit to the Platform, including the content of every Session you create;
• ensuring that you have all necessary rights, licences, and permissions in respect of any content you use in a Session, including third-party images, text, or media;
• maintaining appropriate and secure back-ups of all User Data;
• the security and confidentiality of your Account credentials; and
• all activity that occurs under your Account.

6.3 You must notify Quiz Granny promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your Account or any other security breach.

7.1 As between you and Quiz Granny, you retain ownership of all User Data you submit to the Platform. Quiz Granny may process your User Data to the extent necessary to provide the Services, as further described in the Privacy Policy.

7.2 Free Version: By using the Free Version, you grant Quiz Granny a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use anonymized versions of your Sessions (including Participant responses) for the purpose of developing and improving the Platform.

7.3 Paid Versions: For Customers of Paid Versions, Quiz Granny processes User Data only to the extent necessary to provide the Services and for aggregated, anonymized analytics and product improvement. Quiz Granny will not use your User Data for purposes beyond those described in the Privacy Policy without your consent.

7.4 Output generated by the AI Features is treated as your User Data, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you retain ownership of that Output. However:

• Output is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Quiz Granny makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, suitability, or fitness for purpose of any Output.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all Output before using it in any Session or for any other purpose.
• AI Features should not be used to generate content for high-stakes or life-critical purposes.

8.1 Users who host Sessions (“Hosts”) bear the following responsibilities:

• You are responsible for all content included in your Sessions, including questions, answer options, images, and media, whether created by you, uploaded from an external source, or generated using AI Features.
• You are responsible for ensuring that Participants have appropriate notice of how their personal data (including display names, responses, and scores) will be collected and used, and for obtaining any required consents under applicable Data Protection Laws.
• You must set appropriate access controls for your Sessions (including invite-only restrictions where available on your plan), where content may not be suitable for all audiences.
• You must not create Sessions that are designed to deceive, manipulate, or exploit Participants, or that contain false, misleading, or unlawful content.
• Where you share or publish Session results (for example, as evidence of a training assessment), you must ensure they accurately reflect Participant responses.

8.2 Scoring: The Platform uses time-based scoring. Correct answers earn between 500 and 1,000 points, scaled by how quickly the Participant answered. Leaderboards display live rankings throughout a Session.

8.3 Participant joining: Participants join Sessions via qgplayground.com/join using a room code, QR code, or shared link. No app download or registration is required for Participants. Participants enter a display name (nickname) to participate; they are not required to provide their real name.

9.1 Quiz Granny is committed to protecting personal data. The Privacy Policy explains in full what personal data we collect, how we use, store, and share it, which sub-processors we engage, your rights as a data principal or data subject, and how to exercise those rights. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms and is incorporated herein by reference.

9.2 Quiz Granny does not sell personal data or User Data. We do not grant any third-party access to personal data for purposes other than providing the Platform and related services, except as described in the Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law.

9.3 Where you collect personal data from Participants through a Session (for example, through player data collection on Pro Plus or Enterprise plans), you act as a data fiduciary or controller in respect of that data. You are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis for processing such data and that your use of the Platform complies with all applicable Data Protection Laws.

9.4 Grievance Officer (India): Under the DPDPA 2023, Quiz Granny’s designated Grievance Officer is:

9.5 Data deletion: You may request deletion of your Account and personal data at any time via qgplayground.com/deletion or by emailing quizgranny@gmail.com. Account deletion does not affect data that Quiz Granny is required to retain under applicable law.

10.1 Quiz Granny and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Platform, including all Intellectual Property Rights. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. You receive only the limited License expressly granted herein.

10.2 You retain all Intellectual Property Rights in your User Data. By submitting User Data to the Platform, you grant Quiz Granny a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit, and display your User Data solely to the extent necessary to provide the Platform and Services to you and your Participants.

10.3 If Quiz Granny receives written notice of a claim that the Platform (as provided by Quiz Granny) infringes a third party’s Intellectual Property Rights, Quiz Granny will use commercially reasonable efforts to modify the Platform to eliminate the alleged infringement. If such modification would require disproportionate cost or effort, Quiz Granny may suspend or terminate your License with immediate effect and refund any prepaid fees attributable to the unexpired portion of the License Period.

10.4 You must notify Quiz Granny promptly at quizgranny@gmail.com if you receive any third-party claim of intellectual property infringement arising from your use of the Platform or any Session you have created.

11.1 The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, including during its public beta phase. Quiz Granny does not warrant that the Platform will be free from errors, interruptions, or defects.

11.2 Quiz Granny will use commercially reasonable efforts to remedy material faults in the Platform. A “fault” means a material deviation from the current documented description of the Platform that affects its core intended functionality. To report a fault, contact quizgranny@gmail.com with a clear description of the issue.

11.3 Quiz Granny reserves the right to take the Platform offline, in whole or in part, for maintenance, upgrades, testing, or security purposes, and will not be liable for resulting downtime. Quiz Granny will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance that may cause material service disruption.

11.4 If a material fault is not remedied within a reasonable time, Customers of Paid Versions may be entitled to a proportionate fee reduction, subject to the limitations in Section 13. Free Version users are not entitled to financial compensation.

11.5 Quiz Granny reserves the right to add, modify, or discontinue features of the Platform at any time. Quiz Granny will not materially reduce the core functionality of a Paid Version during a current License Period without reasonable advance notice.

Each party agrees to keep confidential all non-public information received from the other party (“Confidential Information”) and not to disclose it to any third party without the other party’s prior written consent, using the same degree of care it uses to protect its own confidential information (but not less than reasonable care). Each party shall use Confidential Information only for the purposes of these Terms. Confidential Information does not include information that: (i) is or becomes publicly available through no fault of the receiving party; (ii) was already known to the receiving party before disclosure; (iii) is independently developed without use of the Confidential Information; or (iv) is required to be disclosed by law or court order, provided that the disclosing party receives prompt written notice where legally permitted. Obligations of confidentiality survive termination of these Terms for two (2) years.

13.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quiz Granny’s aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms and the Platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Quiz Granny in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the first incident giving rise to the claim. Claims must be submitted in writing within two (2) months of the relevant incident. Free Version users have no right to financial compensation.

13.2 In no event shall Quiz Granny be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Quiz Granny’s liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by Quiz Granny’s negligence; (ii) fraud or wilful misconduct by Quiz Granny; or (iii) any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13.4 Quiz Granny accepts no liability for:

• User Data, Output, or other content submitted by you or your Participants;
• defects, failures, or interruptions in your own software, hardware, or internet connection;
• data loss or corruption attributable to your systems or third-party services;
• Platform unavailability attributable to scheduled or emergency maintenance, testing, or events of force majeure; or
• actions of, or changes made by, you or any third party to the Platform.

13.5 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Quiz Granny and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against all losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (i) your breach of these Terms; (ii) your User Data or content submitted by your Participants; (iii) your violation of any applicable law; or (iv) any third-party claim that your User Data or Output infringes such third party’s Intellectual Property Rights.

13.6 Quiz Granny will indemnify you against damages and costs finally awarded against you by a competent court as a result of a third-party claim that the Platform itself (as provided by Quiz Granny and used in accordance with these Terms) infringes such third party’s Intellectual Property Rights, provided that: (i) you give Quiz Granny prompt written notice; (ii) you grant Quiz Granny sole control of the defence and settlement; and (iii) you provide all reasonable assistance. This obligation does not apply where the claim arises from your User Data, Output, your breach of these Terms, or combination of the Platform with non-Quiz Granny software or data.

Quiz Granny shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, war, terrorism, sabotage, strikes, civil unrest, power outages, government actions, embargoes, or failures of third-party infrastructure or internet services. Quiz Granny will notify you promptly of any such event and will use commercially reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.

Quiz Granny may communicate with you, including for marketing purposes, via email and through in-platform notifications. Marketing communications are sent only with your prior consent. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by emailing quizgranny@gmail.com. Even after opting out of marketing communications, Quiz Granny may continue to send you transactional and service-related communications necessary for the provision of the Platform, including billing notices, password resets, and important updates to these Terms. Quiz Granny usually replies to direct enquiries within one business day. For urgent matters during a live Session, include “URGENT” in the subject line.

16.1 These Terms come into force when you register an Account, purchase a License, or first use the Platform, whichever occurs first.

16.2 You may cancel your subscription at any time via Account → Subscription in the Platform or by emailing quizgranny@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; your plan reverts to the Free Version and your quizzes and Account data are retained within Free Version limits. No refund is issued for the remaining period unless a refund condition in Section 5.5 is met.

16.3 Quiz Granny may terminate or suspend your License with immediate effect if:

• you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy and (where the breach is capable of remedy) fail to remedy it within 14 days of written notice;
• your use of the Platform could expose Quiz Granny to sanctions, trade restrictions, or regulatory action;
• you become insolvent, enter administration, or are subject to analogous insolvency proceedings; or
• Quiz Granny determines, in its reasonable discretion, that continued provision of the Platform to you poses a material risk to the Platform, other users, or third parties.

16.4 Quiz Granny may also terminate any subscription by giving one (1) month’s prior written notice, subject to refunding any prepaid fees for the period after termination.

16.5 On termination or expiry of your License for any reason: (i) your right to use the Platform ceases immediately; (ii) your Account reverts to the Free Version or is deactivated as applicable; and (iii) provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 10, 12, 13, 17, and 18) continue in full force and effect.

Individuals who participate in a Session as Participants without registering an Account are bound by Sections 2, 6 (to the extent applicable), 7, 8.2, 8.3, 9, 13, 15, 17, and 18 of these Terms. By entering a room code, join link, or QR code and joining a Session, a Participant confirms acceptance of those provisions. Participants join Sessions at qgplayground.com/join. No app download, account registration, or personal information is required to join a Session; Participants choose their own display name (nickname).

Quiz Granny may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in applicable law, Platform features, or industry practice. The current version will always be available at qgplayground.com/terms. Where a change is material, Quiz Granny will notify you by email to your registered Account address or by posting a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Platform after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of those Terms. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may cancel your subscription in accordance with Section 16.

19.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

19.2 If you have a dispute with Quiz Granny, please contact us first at quizgranny@gmail.com. Quiz Granny will endeavour to resolve the matter informally within 15 business days.

19.3 If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Indian Council of Arbitration (or such other recognised arbitral institution as the parties may agree in writing). The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Bhopal, India. The language of proceedings shall be English. The award shall be final and binding. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent interim or injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.

19.4 For EU/EEA residents, nothing in this Section affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection or data protection legislation in your country of residence.

20.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Quiz Granny with respect to the Platform and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings. No terms in any Customer purchase order or ordering document (other than a written agreement signed by an authorized representative of Quiz Granny) shall form part of these Terms.

20.2 Assignment. You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense your rights under these Terms without Quiz Granny’s prior written consent. Quiz Granny may assign its rights and obligations to any affiliate or successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you.

20.3 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted to the maximum extent possible to give effect to its intended purpose, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20.4 Waiver. No waiver by either party of any breach shall be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach. A failure or delay in exercising any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.

20.5 Independent Contractors. The parties are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, or employment relationship.

20.6 Notices. All notices and communications under these Terms shall be in writing and sent by email. Notices to Quiz Granny shall be sent to quizgranny@gmail.com. Notices shall be deemed received within two (2) business days of sending.

20.7 Resellers. If you purchase access to the Platform through an authorized reseller, payment is made to the reseller under terms agreed between you and the reseller. Quiz Granny may suspend access if it does not receive corresponding payment from the reseller. Refunds, if applicable, are processed via the reseller. The reseller has no authority to make representations or promises on Quiz Granny’s behalf.

20.8 Beta Features. The Platform is currently in public beta. Some features may be unstable, incomplete, or subject to change without notice. Quiz Granny’s liability in respect of beta features is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
